The Mad City RC Flyers welcome anyone interested in Radio Control (fixed wing, multi-blade, First Person View, or helicopter), Control Line, or Free-Flight model aircraft. We are sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and follow AMA safety guidelines and policies. Local dues are currently 40.00 annually. Members are also required to hold membership with the AMA. Those seeking membership are allowed three (3) field visits before dues are required.
Our flying site is located on Bean Cemetery Road, just north of the Madisonville water treatment plant on A.C. Slayton Road as seen by the blue dot on the image below. Each member in good standing is given the combination to the gate lock. The property is owned by the City of Madisonville and contracted to the club.
The Mad City RC Flyers have flight trainers available who are glad to help you get started in the hobby and help train new flyers. To contact club leadership with interest or questions email our secretary Bill Thomas. Flyers under the age of 16 require an accompanying adult.
